The intention of the 48 Hour Film Festival was for our employees to exercise their creativity by making short movies within the 48 hour timeframe. So instead of talking about making movies, we would actually go out and start filming them. We had two film festivals here at Flash Film Works and then it became a bigger event, with Mark Kochinski, Keith Matz and John Parenteau forming extremefilmmaker.com and inviting outside people to participate. The current version of the festival, run by the three of them, has grown to include many people and several excellent short films. To watch films from the first two festivals, click on the festival links at the bottom of the page.
